Odoo Expert & ERP Project Lead / Romania / Cluj Napoca

About us

You'll join an international, entrepreneurial group active in furniture manufacturing and sourcing, built on three collaborating pillars. We're rolling out Odoo as our central ERP across all three entities. You'll lead this project together with our factory director and the founder — as a full-time employee or as a B2B contractor, whichever fits you best.

Your role

As our in-house Odoo expert, you are the driving force and internal owner of this ERP project. We work with an external implementation partner for the heavy configuration and localisation work; your role is to act as project lead and to lead our internal development — translating how we work into a well-designed, working Odoo environment and building whatever standard Odoo can't deliver out of the box.

What you'll do

• Lead the full Odoo implementation across Romania (production), Belgium (PR-Living) and Qurafied (BE + HK) — a multi-company, multi-currency (RON/EUR/USD) and multi-localisation environment.

• Manage the relationship with our external implementation partner: define scope, set priorities, review their work and safeguard quality.

• Analyse business processes and translate them into a thoughtful Odoo configuration (functional design).

• Lead internal development: build custom modules, adaptations and integrations (Python, the Odoo framework, XML/QWeb, APIs).

• Own the project management: planning, milestones, data migration, testing and go-live.

• Set up and configure core modules: Project, Manufacturing (MRP), Inventory, Purchase, Sales, CRM and Accounting.

• Train and support end users across the different sites.

• Explore AI-driven automation and improve the user experience of our internal tools.

• Remain the internal point of contact and owner of Odoo after go-live.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience implementing Odoo, both functionally and technically.

• Excellent knowledge of Project management in Odoo.

• You code yourself: strong in Python and the Odoo framework (XML/QWeb, PostgreSQL, API integrations).

• Solid understanding of core ERP processes: manufacturing/MRP, inventory, purchasing, sales and accounting.

• Experience with multi-company / multi-currency / international setups is a strong plus.

• Ideally, experience with AI tools and a sharp eye for UX.

• Fluent English is essential (our working language); Romanian and/or Dutch are a plus.

• Independent, structured and hands-on, with the leadership skills to drive a project and steer an external partner.

• Willing to travel occasionally (Belgium, possibly Asia).
