The Role
Role Summary
We are seeking an Odoo Functional Support Specialist/Consultant who is strong in problem-solving, highly knowledgeable across Odoo modules, and able to diagnose issues quickly and accurately.
This is NOT a typical “client success” or “upsell-driven” role — your core responsibility is to help clients when something goes wrong, understand their systems in depth, and work closely with our consultants and developers to resolve issues.
There is a secondary component: when you identify genuine improvement opportunities (e.g., missing modules, better workflows, overlooked features), you will flag them to the sales or consulting team — not push them.
Your role will include assisting implementation teams with full implementation with a focus on reviewing client requirements and providing solutions within standard Odoo functionality that can meet their requirements.
An added bonus would be experience with doing project scoping and GAP analysis consultations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Hands-On Odoo Functional Support & Delivery (Primary Focus)
- Capable of delivering end-to-end Odoo implementation projects (functional configuration, workflows, testing, user training).
- Strong problem-solving ability — receive issues, analyse, diagnose root causes, and provide effective solutions.
- Troubleshoot functional and light technical issues across major Odoo modules (Sales, Inventory, Accounting, MRP, CRM, Projects, etc.).
- Reproduce bugs, apply fixes or workarounds where appropriate, or escalate to development when necessary.
- Configure modules, optimise workflows, and advise clients on best practices to reduce unnecessary customisations.
- Create clear documentation, SOPs, training materials, and support guides for clients.
Must-Haves
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on Odoo experience across multiple modules and versions.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve configuration issues, data inconsistencies, workflow errors, and functional bugs.
- Practical experience with custom modules, data import/export, and general Odoo system administration.
- Excellent written and spoken English, with strong communication skills for documentation and client interaction.
- Calm, analytical, and structured approach to solving complex problems.
- Proven experience supporting or delivering full Odoo implementation projects.
Bonus Skills
- Experience with Odoo integrations, APIs, and external system connectivity.
- Exposure to pre-sales, solution scoping, or basic solution architecture.
- Comfortable working in both client-facing and internal technical environments.
