Assignment Overview

We are currently looking for an experienced Freelance Odoo (Functional) Consultant to support an international technology organization during an ongoing Odoo optimization and improvement program.
Following a previous Odoo implementation, the organization has initiated a new optimization phase after completing a recent system assessment conducted by an independent consulting party.
The objective of this program is to improve system performance, harmonize processes, reduce manual work, and align the environment with Odoo best practices within an Odoo 17 landscape.

Project Context

The current ERP environment shows several improvement opportunities, including:

• Processes that are still heavily manual
• Limited testing and validation structures
• Incomplete knowledge transfer and end-user training during earlier rollout phases
• Need for technical validation of existing configurations and custom developments

The organization is therefore seeking an independent senior Odoo expert who can provide technical oversight and ensure implementation quality moving forward.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Perform a technical assessment of the existing Odoo environment
• Review configurations and custom code quality
• Validate system setup and integrations
• Establish and execute testing and verification activities
• Identify optimization opportunities from a best-practice perspective
• Support ongoing process improvement initiatives
• Act as technical counterpart to internal stakeholders and external implementation partners
  
  

Functional & Technical Scope

Modules in scope include:

• Warehouse Management (WMS)
• Procurement
• Finance
• Supply Chain Management
• Production planning (currently partly managed outside Odoo via spreadsheets)

The ERP landscape also integrates with an external CRM platform.

Profile Requirements

The ideal candidate:

• Has proven experience with multiple Odoo implementations
• Operates at Senior Consultant level
• Is strong in technical analysis and system validation
• Has experience reviewing existing ERP implementations
• Is comfortable performing testing and quality assurance
• Works independently and proactively
• Communicates fluently in English

Hands-on expertise and implementation experience are key.
