The Role
Neurons Tech is an official Odoo Partner based in Nea Ionia, Athens. We help Greek companies transform the way they operate through well-designed ERP implementations, built with an architecture-first mindset.
We are not just configuring software. We design, build and support business systems.
Our methodology puts solution design before implementation, and every project runs through our own internal delivery operating system. We work with companies across industries including field service, retail chains, real estate, e-commerce and cultural organizations.
Our systems are used every day to manage sales, inventory, accounting, operations, projects, customer service and integrations with external platforms and devices. This means our technical work goes beyond feature development. It includes understanding business processes, building maintainable solutions and taking responsibility for systems that support real operations.
We are growing our technical implementation team and looking for Python developers who want to work on business-critical software, take ownership across the full implementation lifecycle and help shape the engineering standards of a growing ERP practice.
Due to the nature of our client base, requirements, documentation, support cases and many project discussions are conducted in Greek. For this reason, strong professional Greek communication skills are required.
As a Python ERP Developer, you will build, extend and support ERP systems.
You will work closely with the founder, Solutions Architect and functional consultants, translating solution designs and business requirements into reliable technical implementations.
Your work will include custom module development, integrations, data migrations, automation, debugging, deployments and technical support for systems already running in production.
This is not a role focused only on greenfield development.
You will participate in new implementations, but you will also investigate production issues, improve existing functionality, fix defects and help ensure that our clients’ systems remain stable and reliable as their businesses evolve. We are open to candidates at different experience levels, from developers taking the next step after their first professional Python roles to experienced engineers who can own complex implementations and technical decisions.
The scope, level of ownership and compensation will be aligned with your experience.
Prior Odoo experience is welcome, but not required. Developers with a strong background in Python, Django, ORMs, APIs and relational business applications can transition effectively into the Odoo development model. We will provide structured onboarding, project guidance and paid official certifications.
- Develop and maintain custom Odoo modules using Python.
- Extend existing data models, workflows, business rules, views and system functionality.
- Build APIs, webhooks and integrations with external platforms, e-commerce systems, payment providers, devices and third-party services.
- Work with PostgreSQL, ORM models and complex relational business data.
- Participate in the technical delivery of new ERP implementations, from solution design and estimation through development, testing and go-live.
- Investigate and resolve technical support issues in live client environments.
- Debug unfamiliar code, identify root causes and implement reliable long-term fixes.
- Improve existing implementations as client requirements and operational processes evolve.
- Build scripts and tools for data migration, transformation and validation.
- Support system upgrades, module migrations and deployment activities.
- Work with MQTT and event-driven integrations where required.
- Collaborate with functional consultants to clarify requirements and identify technical risks before development begins.
- Write automated tests, technical documentation and deployment notes.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to reusable components, internal tools and technical standards.
- Help improve how we develop, test, deploy and support ERP solutions as the technical team grows.
- Professional experience developing software with Python.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
- Experience working with an ORM, such as Django ORM, SQLAlchemy or a comparable framework.
- Good understanding of relational databases, data modelling and SQL.
- Experience building or consuming REST APIs, webhooks or system integrations.
- Ability to read, understand and debug an existing codebase.
- A structured approach to troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
- Comfortable working with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Interest in business processes and in understanding how software supports real company operations.
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Strong professional Greek communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Professional working English.
We are not looking for someone who already knows Odoo.
We are looking for a strong Python developer who understands data, ORMs, APIs and maintainable business applications, and who is motivated to learn the platform deeply.
For developers earlier in their career, the role may initially focus on:
- Technical support and structured debugging.
- Smaller module extensions and improvements.
- Data migration scripts.
- API integrations.
- Guided development within larger implementation projects.
- Building a strong understanding of Odoo architecture and ERP delivery.
For more experienced developers, the role may include:
- Ownership of complex custom modules and integrations.
- Technical design and implementation planning.
- Estimation and identification of technical risks.
- Performance optimisation and architecture decisions.
- Code reviews and technical guidance for other developers.
- Ownership of upgrades, deployments and critical production issues.
- Contribution to reusable technical frameworks and team standards.
- Experience with Django or another Python web framework.
- Previous experience with Odoo or another ERP platform.
- Experience with PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with Docker, Linux and deployment environments.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, XML, HTML or frontend templating.
- Experience with MQTT, IoT systems or device integrations.
- Experience with data migration, ETL or large operational datasets.
- Experience supporting business-critical production applications.
- Familiarity with inventory, accounting, retail, e-commerce, field service or operations-heavy businesses.
- Understanding of Greek business systems, electronic invoicing or myDATA.
- A genuine interest in how companies work behind the scenes and how good systems make them better.
- The opportunity to work on software that supports real business operations and is used every day by our clients.
- Technical ownership across the full ERP implementation lifecycle.
- A mix of new implementations, custom development, integrations and production problem-solving.
- Direct collaboration with the founder and Solutions Architect.
- Real influence on how our technical delivery practice, engineering standards and reusable components are built.
- Structured onboarding in Odoo architecture and our internal implementation methodology.
- Paid official Odoo certifications.
- Exposure to complex business processes across multiple industries.
- A clear path toward senior technical ownership, technical leadership and solution architecture.
- A hybrid working schedule and Summer Fridays.
- Transparent quarterly KPI cycles with two-way feedback.
- Criteria-based career progression. Your advancement depends on demonstrated capability, not politics or vague promises.
- An annual trip to the platform’s flagship European conference in Brussels.
- A competitive compensation package aligned with your experience and level of responsibility.
Because early technical teams are different.
At Neurons Tech, you will join while our technical standards, development practices, reusable components and support processes are still being shaped.
You will not be joining a large development department where your role is limited to isolated tickets.
You will work close to solution design, implementation strategy and real business decision-making. You will see how your code affects daily operations, participate in projects from design to go-live and help improve systems after they enter production.
Your contribution will be visible, and your level of ownership can grow directly with the company.
If you are a Python developer who wants to move beyond generic web development, work on complex business systems and build deep expertise in ERP, integrations and operational software, we would love to meet you.
